Toenail fungus treatment seems almost impossible at times but there are ways to get rid of it. The fungus is caused by the same small organism that causes jock itch. The fungus will normally enter the surface of the nail via some kind of crack or injury and from there it will set up home to feed and grow. Also known as Onychomycosis, toenail fungus affects some 35 million people in the United States and some estimates say close to a billion around the world. It causes your nails to become yellow and cracked, and they will sometimes raise from the nail bed.

The biggest problem with toenail fungus outside of being itchy and annoying is the fact that it's embarrassing. It can clearly impact your love life or a casual day at the beach or pool.

Sterishoes are futuristic looking shoe trees that plug into the wall and kill fungi living inside your shoes. Toenail fungus sufferrs are reinfected often so this is a great concept. If you want to protect yourself for the long term, might be a good option.

Zetaclear and Fungisil are just two of the solutions on the market that use specific natural oils to kill nail fungus. These oils are able to penetrate the nail better and eliminate fungus inside the nail bed.
